Pink Lilac

Lilac
Lilac

No flower a day project could be complete without lilac, especially as it flowered so abundantly this year! I love the way the buds are such a rich colour before they open into the familiar flowers we all know and love. The scent of lilac permeates the air wherever you go in our little village, even along the main road, as they grow thickly there too. So, not to disappoint, here is my lilac (pink this time), photographed in mid May. Happy Tuesday, my friends. Hugs to all. A Flower a Day #298  (NB while I make every effort to identify the flowers posted, I make no guarantee that the name is correct. It’s about the photograph, not the name.:-)

  1. An explosive PFD! Like a bursting pink firework…all those tiny little deep pink furled fists just waiting to become full-fledged blooms like their older more mature siblings, and release their perfume into the air. Such power they have to change our mood and lift our spirits just by their impact on our senses. The rest of us should be so blessed. Thanks, Ellie, for an impactful photo today.

  2. Lovely as usual Ellie. Love the way the little buds on the flower that’s opening looks like little striped candies. Thanks again for sharing hugs back at you and Steve

    1. Thanks again, Linda. Each type of flower is so distinctive and so perfectly designed, with such perfect details! Happy Tuesday!
