Panicle Hydrangea

Panicle hydrangea

One of the first photographs I took in this ‘A flower a Day’ series, back in mid August this year was one of this hydrangea in our garden. This was just after a light rain and the delicate petals seem to dance like floating butterflies above the bush and sleeping buds below. I hope this flower photograph brightens your day in some small way. It brightened mine just seeing it again and thinking of the warm summer day I took it.

  1. I have some of those hydrangea too. I always thought of them as being shy because the come out of their clusters one bloom at a time. Unlike other flowers, they don’t burst into bloom but rather creep into it, thus maintaining their mystique much longer. Delicate and dear – a great greet to the day.

    1. They are one of my favourites and when the season is over and if the conditions are favourable they make a beautiful dried display. We are so fortunate to have these in our lives. Thanks Janet.
