Lavender Blue
Doesn’t this patch of lavender flowers, complete with its bee, just take you to a sunny summer afternoon, full of the wonderful perfume and sounds of humming insects? I can look at this, close my eyes and almost be there, with the warm sun on my face and a light breeze just moving the flower stems, gently, not enough to dislodge the insects hard at their work. This time is not as far away as it seems, so I am loving just looking out at the deep white covering outside my window and knowing that the scene I picture here is not many weeks away…. okay, months away… Each season has its particular beauty to enjoy, but I confess that the dream of spring and summer makes the winter bright cold that much more bearable. Have a lovely day, whether you are indoors, out in the cold, snowy world, or you live in the Southern hemisphere and have the joy of seeing these in your own garden today!
