The A Flower a Day project is seeing me beginning to dig into my store of photographs as, at last, a killing frost has finished off almost everything around me. Happily, early in my project I realised that this day would come and took plenty of pictures so that each day there would be something new and cheering to share with you all. Today’s photograph, of one of our hanging basket fuchsias is particularly timely as we are preparing to overwinter them again. They are still full of blooms and now safe from the frost and cold and will flower again next year hopefully. They have given us much joy this season with their delicate dancing petals and vibrant colours. There is so much hope for next year, so much to look forward to. With that in mind I head out to tidy up the last of the garden and wish you all a happy and productive week, filled with beauty.
A reminder of when and why I began this project is in this post, for any newer subscribers who missed it at the start of the project.

Ah, you have the purple ones, dramatic and yet demure. What can one say about fuschias? ‘Beautiful’ seems an understatement. An example of Nature’s boundless creativity? For sure. Perhaps its just best to sit back and let your eyes have a feast, a salve for the soul. Thank you, Ellie.
Yes! They just seem to dance in front of us, inviting admiration like ballroom dancers! Thanks for the comment, Janet.
They are a beautiful flower with amazing color design. One of my mom’s favorites for growing outdoors. Thanks they can cheer you up on a day like today for sure.
Thanks Linda. I’m glad if I brought back some nice memories of your mum. 😀
