For a bonus today in our flower a day share there is a little wildlife included. These common grass-leaved goldenrod flowers fill the banks and roadsides with bright yellow. I don’t know what the flies find attractive about them but I guess every plant and flower is important to the ecosystem. Not an exotic flower, but a golden beauty in its own right. Celebrate the ordinary today, as the apparently ‘ordinary’ has a beauty all its own.

They are a lovely colour. A field of them is amazing. Thanks for the visitors.
