Double Daylily

Double daylily
Double daylily

Sometimes it’s the quality of light that draws me to a particular flower, but in this case, along with the evening golden hour there was the added element of these beautiful double frilled petals. These grow beside a rotting stump and turn the area into a jewel box of colour and texture. I am never bored with seeing daylilies and so you run the risk of seeing at least one more daylily photograph this year before they are finished. If the thought of this is too much for you, I apologise in advance and hope that you can bring yourself to enjoy their beauty, today and the next time(s). If you see beauty in your day, enjoy it and capture it in your memory or camera if you have one, my friends. We need it in this world these days. View all posts on the Home page. A Flower a Day #350

  2. Thank you so much Ellie. It is a beautiful flower with lovely color. Variety of daylilies is certainly amazing. I love the way you captured the light as well the contrast between the light and the shadow really highlights the flower even more. Thanks again for sharing hope you have a great day hugs to you and Steve

    1. Thank you Linda. The light here was so perfect, as the evening was setting in, I was so glad I walked by at that moment and saw it on this flower. I’m glad you like it too. Enjoy your day, hugs back to you both.
