Creeping Wood Sorrel

Creeping Wood Sorrel
Creeping Wood Sorrel

We seem to have had a run on overcast and COLD days, with little to brighten them, (except, of course, for our lovely Aja). So today, in between the usual chores and sitting playing with her and Joni, of course, I wanted to bring some sunshine to my post to cheer us all. Today it’s another in the wild rather than cultivated class of blooms. Enjoy the light it brings you today my friends. I would stay and chat longer but I think someone just called me…. A Flower a Day #295  (NB while I make every effort to identify the flowers posted, I make no guarantee that the name is correct. It’s about the photograph, not the name.:-)

  1. Now that’s a familiar face, this creeping wood sorrel. It’s crept all around my home town and trails, spreading its cheery and sunny disposition. It’s a welcome sight whether it be cold and rainy, as where you are, or hot, humid and sunny, as it is here. I’ll bank it in my account for when the weather turns, and surely it shall one day. Thank you, Ellie, for paying it forward.

    1. As always, Janet, it’s my pleasure to send you a bankable deposit of sunshine for your next rainy day. With a high today of 12 or 13 C I fear we needed more than just the colour today. So here’s hoping that you can return the favour and pass along some of that sun and heat East, as best you can. And enjoy those sunny faces whatever the weather, as you say. Thanks for the comment!

  2. Thanks Ellie it is bright and cheery. Such perfect color shape and design love it. Hope you enjoy your day despite the rain

    1. Pretty miserable day today, for sure, but we can still find enjoyment, you are right! And these flowers are perfect, you are right!
