Bright Lights of Québec

One of the best things about visiting a city like Québec is walking about in the darkened streets at night. Along one of the main streets, each of the restaurants uses lights to make them stand out among the considerable competition, all vying for your attention. The architecture is wonderful in the daytime, of course, but it takes on a different feel in the dark with the textures and features highlighted skillfully by them. Almost garish, these colours made a real splash along the street. This photograph was taken during our visit in November 2014. This collection will feature images and experiences from that visit. I hope you enjoy them.

  1. I'm so glad that you are having a bit of time to relax and take some time for yourself, Ursula. I know that was always your busy time of the year. This is a wonderful city and well worth a visit, for the beauty, but also the history. And if you come to the East, well you know that Nova Scotia is just a bit farther, +Ursula Klepper :-)))

  2. We just saw a documentary about the eastern costs of Canada and also Québec area, so I have to smile now that I see this image and post! :o) I hope you are doing fine! I was so uncredibly busy until two days ago, now I am trying to relax a bit. Hugs!

  3. Thanks a lot +Heiko Mahr – I do hope you get some snow. It does cheer things up, although the removal can be time consuming. Not so bad for me, as I don't do much. Now it's melting for a day or so. It won't all go, at all, as we got quite a bit. I expect we won't see bare ground much here until May.

  4. Thank you so much, dear Heiko! I'm so glad you like it.
We don't celebrate Christmas ourselves, actually, but we certainly are now well into enjoying the winter as the snow as really started (again!!!). 😀 +Heiko Mahr
