One of the best things about visiting a city like Québec is walking about in the darkened streets at night. Along one of the main streets, each of the restaurants uses lights to make them stand out among the considerable competition, all vying for your attention. The architecture is wonderful in the daytime, of course, but it takes on a different feel in the dark with the textures and features highlighted skillfully by them. Almost garish, these colours made a real splash along the street. This photograph was taken during our visit in November 2014. This collection will feature images and experiences from that visit. I hope you enjoy them.

nice
I'm so glad that you are having a bit of time to relax and take some time for yourself, Ursula. I know that was always your busy time of the year. This is a wonderful city and well worth a visit, for the beauty, but also the history. And if you come to the East, well you know that Nova Scotia is just a bit farther, +Ursula Klepper :-)))
We just saw a documentary about the eastern costs of Canada and also Québec area, so I have to smile now that I see this image and post! :o) I hope you are doing fine! I was so uncredibly busy until two days ago, now I am trying to relax a bit. Hugs!

+Peninah Mueni thanks a lot
What a blending!
Beautiful shot Ellie love the color. I would say it would be a delight to walk down those streets
Thank you +Sandra Nesbit
Happy New Year from Chicago!
Thanks a lot +Heiko Mahr – I do hope you get some snow. It does cheer things up, although the removal can be time consuming. Not so bad for me, as I don't do much. Now it's melting for a day or so. It won't all go, at all, as we got quite a bit. I expect we won't see bare ground much here until May.
No snow here at all so far.. Let's see what will happen, but somehow I doubt that we will have snow in this season at all +Ellie Kennard
Happy New Year to you and Steven!
Thank you so much, dear Heiko! I'm so glad you like it.
We don't celebrate Christmas ourselves, actually, but we certainly are now well into enjoying the winter as the snow as really started (again!!!). 😀 +Heiko Mahr

Beautiful photography.
Gotta visit that place some day. Not during winter, though. Have a good friend who lives up there. (Who's spending the winter in Florida!) Every picture I see of Quebec is impressive.
Beautiful image.

+LInda Cortez thanks a lot!
Thanks very much, Isabelle. We never actually ate at that restaurant, +Isabelle Fortin there were many excellent choices, but few catered for vegetarians as did the Café De Paris, so we pretty much stuck with them for dinners. We also stayed down the street from here. 💕
Next time, make sure you hit the East side, +Jasbir S. Randhawa!
Beautiful photo +Ellie Kennard I had dinner at that restaurant this summer, it was delicious… we stayed just down the street
+Ellie Kennard So I believe, Ellie! I've been to Canada twice (1985 & 2001), but unfortunately only to Vancouver both times…….
Now that is nice ✔
Thanks a lot Jasbir. These lights are there all year round, as this was taken early in November. Québec is one constant fun city! +Jasbir S. Randhawa
