Borage

Borage
Borage

I had no idea what this plant was when I took this as it was photographed in a friend’s garden when they were away and I was looking after their cat. It shouldn’t have surprised me as they have all kinds of herbs and interesting plants, including the rather lovely coneflower I posted the other day. They also gave me some bee balm for my own garden, which you will see in due course in this project. This historic medicinal herb, borage, is beloved of all kinds of bees and so delicate and floaty looking hanging from those arching fine hairy stems. Have a lovely day, everyone! 1. Such an interesting plant is this ‘starflower’ – herbaceously, medicinally, as well as physically. Obviously not just another pretty face, but definitely can hold it’s own in the beauty department. Thank you, Ellie, for today’s ‘star power’.

  2. Thank you very much Ellie it’s a lovely intriguing looking flower. The way the buds hang down kind of remind me of spider legs. All the little intricate hair on them. Hope you have a great day. Hugs to you and Steve

    1. When I look at it, I see what you mean, Linda, though I had not before. Zooming in reveals so much detail, I’m glad you do that as do I. Thanks again.
