Backlit Queen Anne’s Lace
I know the photograph does not do this justice, but I have to share it as I remember so vividly walking along beside all of these waving wild flowers at the side of the road and seeing the sun’s rays just lighting up this beautiful one from behind. I could even tell you where it was, should you want to know, though I took it in July, a good three months ago! I’m sure you are like me and have moments of special joy that warm you with such a glow that you never forget them and they cheer you every time you think of them. They can’t be explained to someone who didn’t experience it with you, no words can do the moment justice so you store it away for when you need it. There are certain lines of poetry or writing that do that to me as well. Every time I see cerry blossoms the line “Oh to be in England, now that April’s there” springs to mind, as well as “Loveliest of trees, the cherry now Is hung with bloom along the bough…” I can’t help it, those words are just there and bring me back to the times and places they came to me every time. I know I’ve moved on from the Queen Anne’s Lace thought, but thank you for indulging me in my stream of consciousness (if you have). For me, the backlit scene of waving tiny white florets in their plate shaped bouquets will be with me for a long time to come, in just that way. Have a day building as many good memories as you can, friends. View all posts on the Home page. A Flower a Day #411
